How do I stop flicking at short pitches?

- By Top 25 Coach Barney Puttick

For consistent pitching, keep your spine over the ball at both address and impact. If it tilts away too much, as is the tendency when looking to get the ball up, you’ll struggle.

A great way to stop flicking at the ball with the wrists is to practise with your right hand only – this gives you a feel for the natural sequence. With two hands, golfers often flick at it; with the right hand only, they never do!
