Should I use a tee on par 3s?
Ryan Gilbert, via email
For 99 per cent of golfers, absolutely, as it reduces the chance of early ground contact and helps you hit the middle of the face. But I actually don’t, because it encourages a swing fault of swinging too much from the inside. Not teeing it up means I have to trap the ball more and swing down/ more left, which gives me more control. Each to their own!
I’m coming back to the game after a long break. Which areas should I invest in? Nedpizza, GM Forum
I would say there are three areas to prioritise: driver, wedges and ball. Driver forgiveness and adjustability has moved on a lot, so a custom fitting will almost certainly unlock extra distance and accuracy. New wedges will provide you with more control and confidence around the greens, while using the same ball will help produce a more repeatable ball flight and consistent reaction upon landing.
