How does it give you the edge?

This highly accurate laser rangefinder will give you precise yardages and GPS distances, plus further information (outside of tournament play) to make sure you select the right club and shot in every situation.

The laser is good and easy to use, but the absolute standout feature on this device is the 2D hole map overlay, displayed to the side of the view as you look through it.

This map provides front, middle and back distances, as well as a full view of the hole, to give you a picture of what lies ahead.

Furthermore, if you input your typical driving distance before play, the device shows you via the hole map roughly where you should expect a good drive to end up.

A link to the Garmin app provides live wind direction. This, along with the slope-adjusted distances, can be disabled for competition use, and there’s an external tournament-mode indicator light to show your fellow players that it is good to use in competition.

The screen is clearer than on previous versions and a small vibration lets you know you’ve locked on to the pin. When you’ve done so, a line on the green in the map shows you how far on the pin is – another feature that could give you the edge.
