Sheringham
After a gentle opening two holes, this coastal cracker bites back from the 3rd onwards with holes running along the cliff edge, usually into the prevailing wind. Views don’t come much more dramatic than on the tee of the par-4 5th, the highest point on the golf course. The hole plays down to a narrow fairway with out of bounds lurking right and then requires a precise long-iron into a thin green. The final four holes run alongside the North Norfolk ‘Poppy Line’ on which a vintage steam train regularly passes through.
