Alex Elliott

Mottram Hall GC, Cheshire

-

As a junior, Alex spent a great deal of time learning the game from fellow north-west golfer, Andrew Murray – a European Tour regular from 1979 to 1995.

Always keen to further his golfing education, Alex spent three years on the European Tour caddying for Andrew’s son, Tom. During this time, he not only learnt a huge amount from Tom and the many other tour players, but also the world’s top coaches. Observing how the likes of Pete Cowen and Jamie Gough delivered their lessons proved a valuable education.

Alex has long been a fan of renowned American instructor Mike Bender, whose book Build the Swing of a Lifetime was the source of great inspiration throughout his PGA qualifications.

Alex is finding great success using social media to help golfers to improve. His passion for the game and personality in front of the camera have helped him create a thriving community on Instagram and Youtube, where he offers a whole host of tips and advice to help viewers shoot lower scores.

In fact, his online content is responsible for his greatest achievement to date – helping a student who had lost their love of golf to get back into the game after ten years of not playing. A skilled presenter he may be, but he offers a variety of different coaching plans and it’s the face-to-face lessons that give him the biggest buzz.
