I’m skying too many drives

- By Top 50 Coach Steve Robinson

Start by checking your ball position isn’t too far back in your stance. Also, if your hands are too far forward, it can encourage the driver to come in too steeply and present the top edge to the ball. If you’re struggling, tee up a ball and place an empty three-ball sleeve four to five inches in front of it. Your aim is to hit the drive without disturbing the sleeve. If you can do this, you’re hitting the ball on the up – and that’ll mean no more roofing it!
