Four players who’ve proved it’s possible to keep winning later in life...

-

Vijay Singh

The Fijian was 41 when he first got to World No.1 in 2004, and he won one of his three Majors and 22 of his 34 PGA Tour titles after turning 40. He stayed inside the world’s top 50 until he was 47.

Phil Mickelson

Lefty became the oldest ever Major winner last year at the age of 50 years, 11 months and seven days. Two of his six Majors and seven of his 45 PGA Tour wins have come since turning 40.

Miguel Angel Jimenez

Jimenez played his best golf in his 40s. Two-thirds of his 21 European Tour wins came past 40, and his final victory took place at the 2014 Spanish Open when he was 50.

Lee Westwood

The 48-year-old has won in four different decades from the ’90s to the ’20s and he topped the Race to Dubai at the age of 47 in 2020. He’s the second oldest player in the world’s top 50 behind Mickelson.
