The most common blows for all golfers

-

Lower back... The most common injury golfers are likely to face. The back should remain steady during your swing, so you need to get the hips moving to prevent too much movement (in the back) and resulting tension.

Wrists... Perhaps the main injury in golf that can come as a result of heavy contact from the clubhead striking the ground. So ‘impact’ rather than overuse. Try to avoid hitting off mats for a while, and if you must go to the range to practise, hit half shots and avoid full swings. Tee the ball up to avoid those heavy surface blows.

Neck... Problems with the neck are usually the result of swing issues, an incorrect movement or poor set-up. Make sure the movement in your neck stays in sync with your swing. Too much or too little neck movement is an injury waiting to happen.
