Titleist Vokey SM9
Billed as the ‘ultimate in optionality’, the new Vokey SM9 wedges boast an evolution of the forward CG design, which produces a solid feel and a clubface that squares up at impact. The CG has been raised by adding weight to the topline, where a tapered toe pad helps align the CG properly without being visible at address. Progressive hosel lengths are also used to help raise the CG in the higher lofts, particularly 58°-62°, assisting shots struck outside the desired area between grooves two and five. The result is improved distance and trajectory control, as well as increased stability. To increase control further, a new Spin Milled cutting process produces consistently sharper grooves, while micro-grooves help maximise spin on partial shots. There are six refined grind options and a total of 23 different models in lofts from 46° to 62°.
