Any suggestions on how to fill the gap between my 13.5° fairway wood and 22° hybrid? Tsped83, GM Forum
The obvious answer is a 5-wood, which typically comes in at 18° and would split the gap perfectly. You could opt for an 18° hybrid depending on what you prefer the look of, or a ‘super hybrid’ as discussed on the right. Another option to consider would be a utility iron, which would provide an option should you want something that knocks the flight down a little more.
I’ve got £250 to spend on gear, what should I buy? John Bracey, via email
Obviously this depends on what areas of your kit need most attention, but to spread it across lots of different categories, you could get a dozen of the new Taylormade Tour Response Stripe balls (£40), an Adidas Primegreen polo (£30), a Golfbuddy Laser Lite rangefinder (£130) and a pair of Under Armour’s Tapered Drive trousers (£50) and you’re all set. Alternatively, blow it all on the excellent Callaway Rogue ST Max hybrid!
