Natalie Gulbis
Natalie Gulbis enjoyed success in the early part of this century, winning the 2007 Evian Masters and recording seven top tens in Majors. She retired from top-level professional golf in 2020.
Gulbis had one of the most pronounced dips through the ball in elite golf. She started from an athletic position and took a hugely wide backswing with an exceptionally late wrist hinge. At the top of her backswing, her arms were wrapped around her body with her right elbow behind her head – she has an extra vertebra which could be the explanation for her ability to over-rotate.
She then came powerfully back to the ball and looked squashed as she arrived at impact as her head was dipped and she was up on her toes.
