ARCCOS LINK PRO

As avid users of Arccos gametracking, we’ve really reaped the benefits of the insights it can provide. For the last couple of years we’ve been using the Arccos Link device to help track our shots. It clips on to the outside of your lead pocket so there’s no need to have your phone to hand.
While this has been convenient enough, it’s a bit of a unique look that often means we have to explain to new playing partners what the gizmo attached to our pocket is. The battery life on the old Link also left a lot of room for improvement – we could only get two rounds maximum out of it and it sometimes ran out of juice towards the end of a round.
These minor gripes look to have been fixed, however, with the launch of the Arccos Link Pro. This nifty gadget is the size of a car key fob and, crucially, can work inside a golfer’s front pocket rather than clipped to it, thus not interfering with either looks or swing while also efficiently capturing on-course data without need for a phone.
Perhaps the biggest improvement over its predecessor is that it comes with a wireless charging case, providing up to 12 rounds of power on a single charge – a drastic improvement. The case itself is compact, albeit fairly weighty, slipping into most golf bag pockets with ease. Arccos users will be relieved to know the pin position marker feature carries over on to the Link Pro, but in a slightly different place. The button is now much smaller and located on the side. From our testing, it’s still as easily pressable as before.
The functionality seems to have improved, too, thanks to the new GPS chip and multi-microphone configuration. We’ve noticed shot locations have become more accurate and missed shots less frequent – almost non-existent, in fact. The Link Pro has addressed the main concern golfers had with the Link device by providing smartphone-free shot-tracking. Arccos has listened closely to the feedback and nailed the brief.
The enhanced visual and playing experience definitely makes the Arccos shot-tracking system even more appealing for golfers of all standards who want statistical analysis of their performance and a clear pathway to lower scores.
