TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE TEE BOX WIDTH

Golf World (UK) - - SCORE SAVERS -

You can often alter the characteristics of a hole by setting up to one particular side of the markers. This often makes it easier to take one side of the fairway out of play with your stock tee shot. For example, on a right dog-leg hole, you might want to consider teeing up on the right side of the tee and aiming to the left side of the fairway to give yourself a clear route into the pin. That strategy will also give you more margin for error if you are a slicer. Reverse the theory for left dog-leg holes and if you draw the ball.
