Swing from long to short

Golf World (UK) - - XXXXXXXXXXXX -

I would urge amateurs to have a longer backstroke and shorter follow-through if anything. I like to use the analogy of hitting a nail with a hammer. You wouldn’t take the hammer back short because that’s not going to promote steady acceleration and solid contact. My followthrough is actually very short even on longer putts.
