BOUNCE BACK FROM UPSETS

-

At school, I was dropped from the netball team and after that knock-back, I gave up. But the boys were different. They would take part in sport whether they were good at it or not. This is important, because sport teaches you all sorts of things: teamwork, leadership, but particularly resilience – the idea that when you get knocked down, you get right back up again. Too many women think that setbacks only happen to them, when, in reality, they are happening to everyone, all the time. The trick is to dust yourself off and keep on going – in sport, in life and in the office.
