‘The Pilates bridge pose is a great way to activate the body and release tension,’ says personal trainer Sam Eastwood of Get Set Body. ‘Lie on your back with arms by your sides and knees bent. Engage the core, push down through the feet and lift your tailbone off the floor, moving in one smooth movement, one vertebra at a time. Hold for at least 30 seconds. Slowly exhale as you roll each vertebra back down. Rest; repeat.’
