TAKE RESCUE BREATHS

‘The three-breath SOS technique takes a single minute and can be done anywhere – you don’t even need to close your eyes if you’re in public,’ says Philip Storey. Sit or stand well, your shoulders softened, the teeth unclenched and face relaxed. Breathing with the nose, take one slow deep breath in for a count of four, then out for four. The next breath is in for four, out for six. The next breath, in for six and out for eight. Breathe slowly; repeat.
