FROM ‘OH, HOW LOVELY!’ TO ‘NOT WORTH THE BOTHER!’

-

When you buy from a website, you expect the flowers to look at least as good as the picture and hope the service is efficient. But there was a real difference between the best and the worst we tested – from wow factor and value for money, to the little touches like correcting a spelling mistake in the message and telling us when flowers had been delivered. GHI VIEW To guarantee flowers won’t arrive damaged from transit via courier/postman, we suggest going for a company that sends your order to a local florist and delivers by hand. Of the companies we used, only eflorist and Interflora did this. DON’T BE FOOLED! Supply and demand means that at peak times, the price of a bouquet can skyrocket from one week to the next – for example, around Valentine’s or Mother’s Day. It’s worth trying to confirm your order the month before in order to escape being caught out by last-minute price increases.

Go for a bouquet that isn’t being marketed as a holiday-specific bouquet. You may find these are less likely to have their price hiked up.
