Six cleaning problems you can solve with bicarb

STAINED PLASTIC CONTAINERS – just sprinkle on a sponge and wipe away. SMELLY FRIDGE – a small pot in the corner absorbs bad odours. MUSTY UPHOLSTERY AND CARPETS – sprinkle, leave for 15 minutes and vacuum. CLOGGED DRAINS – pour down 125g of bicarb followed by 125ml of vinegar. Wait for five minutes, then flush with water. STINKY SHOES – sprinkle inside, leave overnight, then tap out before wearing again. TAINTED SILVER – mix three parts bicarb with one part water, rub gently with a lint-free cloth and rinse.
