PHOTOGRAPHER ‘My grandmother was Danish and, like her, I love to maximise light and keep the space airy and uncluttered. My bedroom is a really large, peaceful space – it’s where I gather thoughts, make plans and to-do lists.

I love the cushions in this Sainsbury’s Home collection – blue is such a calming colour. I often layer soft furnishings to create cosy looks. Don’t worry about being too neat or mixing textures such as linen, tweed and wool – it can look great. I love waking up to the scent of fresh flowers, so these – along with books to look at and the framed photos on the walls – are some of my favourite things in this room.’
