BUILD YOUR RESILIENCE

Good Housekeeping (UK) - - Good Health -

Frustrated that you’re not achieving your work, home or exercise goals? Don’t judge yourself, study yourself, says coach Sam Owen (relationshipscoach.co.uk). ‘Being a student of your own life is empowering because it says, ‘I’m in charge’. It helps focus your mind on your goals and changing your behaviour, whereas berating yourself leads to negative emotions and habits. Next time you’re stuck, ask yourself: ‘What can I learn? How can I apply this? How do I make sure I don’t make this mistake again?’

SNAP-HAPPY Next time you’re outside somewhere BEAUTIFUL, take a PHOTO, or WRITE DOWN what you see. A new study says consciously noticing something in nature INCREASES your level of wellbeing.
