Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher, £6.99

Make-up artists love these cream blushes with good reason. They blend really easily, each of the four shades is beautifully flattering so you can find one to suit any skin tone, and the finish is sheer rather than powdery. For a youthful, fresh flush, I haven’t found anything better. CB

Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails Strengthener, £4.75

Along with swapping my emery board for a gentler glass file, a weekly application of this treatment polish has transformed my splitting nails. Its blend of retinol, omegas and soy softens stubborn ridges and prevents peeling, too. GD

Nivea Q10 Rich Body Lotion with Vitamin C, £8.49

I’ve loved this cream – in all its forms, as it’s been updated over the decades – since discovering the original more than 20 years ago. It leaves my skin feeling more elastic and its fragrance is so clean and comforting that I’m quite addicted. AF 4

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Make-up Removing Micellar Solution, £10.80

Bulk-bought by Channel-hopping beauty insiders long before it was available here, this cult buy cleans skin thoroughly in one swipe of a cotton pad. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin, too. RH

Pears Pure & Gentle Body Wash – Original and Lemon Flower Extract, £1.99 each

I longed for Pears soap when I was growing up (my mum bought Imperial Leather), so I’ve been delighted as a grown-up with this reinvention in liquid form. It smells spicy, amber-y and more expensive than other washes at this price, plus it doesn’t dry my skin out. EC
