Enjoy afternoon tea and dinner with the garden designer, broadcaster and writer, as well as private tours of Sissinghurst and other stunning gardens in Kent and Sussex

Few things in life can compare to the joy of strolling through an English country garden at the height of summer, when roses, sweet peas and clouds of azaleas are all spectacularly on show. This exclusive four-day trip, where you’ll join other GH readers, has been repeated due to popular demand, and features private visits to world-class gardens in Kent and Sussex, plus two special events hosted by the inspirational Sarah Raven.

Garden enthusiasts will delight in the itinerary. Highlights include the shrubs and perennials of Great Comp; glorious Scotney Castle; the magnificent Lullingstone Castle; the roses and lavender of Pashley Manor; another classic English garden at Great Dixter (pictured above); the superb nursery at Marchants Hardy Plants (seen on the BBC’S Flying Gardener series); and the outstanding plant collection of Nymans in an inspirational setting.

What’s more, you will have the chance to join Sarah for private events at her own garden and at Sissinghurst. The latter will be the venue for an unforgettable dinner, where you’ll sip English sparkling wine on the Tower Lawn and listen to a talk about the estate’s colourful family history, before Sarah relates the fascinating story of the gardens. The following day features a visit to Sarah’s garden, Perch Hill, with a flower-arranging masterclass, veg and salad tasting, and tour. During afternoon tea, Sarah will tell the story of Perch Hill’s 25-year transformation from a dairy farm into 90 acres dedicated to flowers and vibrant gardens.
