WORTH SHARING

THIS MONTH, WE ASKED YOU TO SHARE WHAT BRINGS A SMILE TO YOUR FACE

-

Your letters

Our family of chickens. They all have different personalities, and it’s lovely to see them busy in the garden or having a dust bath in the sun. JACQUIE BOREHAM

Sitting around the dining room table listening to my children’s stories of the day. They are 15, 13 and 11 and all have an amazing sense of observational comedy. I love children’s views on the world.

PAM KIRKPATRICK

Listening to babies laugh. There is something so innocent and infectious about a baby’s laugh that I defy anyone to not join in! MICHELLE FINNIGAN

Q.What or who makes you laugh?

A.My mum – she’s so funny, and just the thought of her laugh brings me so much joy. She is the tonic to my gin.

SARAH SMITH

My grandchildren – not only do they bring a smile to my face, but their antics also make me realise this is what life is all about. SUE LANE-SMITH

Singing my favourite songs at the top of my voice and recording them, accompanied by my daughter on the piano. We can’t really hold a tune, but it’s exhilarating – and hilarious to listen back to! MICHELLE RICHARDS

That moment after my husband decides he is taking up yet another sport, then caves after (a week of) committing fully and financially to the cause. You can’t help but admire his persistence! M GUNNER

The reaction of friends and family to the news that I’ve started exercising for the first time in my life – and I really like it! The secret to my motivation is simple: my son helped me upload a playlist of my favourite tunes to Spotify. They bring back great memories, too. CLARE ANGHELIDES
