Around 70% of women experience menopausal symptoms during and after treatment. HRT is not advised for women with a history of breast cancer, nor are isoflavones, red clover or black cohosh. Other options include SSRI antidepressants for women not taking tamoxifen, clonidine or gabapentin, but always talk to your specialist.
