What an OMBUDSMAN CAN DO FOR YOU

If you’ve made a complaint and got nowhere, here’s where to go next…

-

Maybe you’ve had a holiday cancelled, want to query a spike in your energy bill or want to complain about a new gadget you’ve bought, but don’t know how to go about it. When things go wrong, the first thing you should do is contact the company that provided the goods or services. However, as many of us know all too well, this doesn’t always get results. If you’re fed up with banging your head against a brick wall, find the ombudsman of the industry in question.

FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN

For complaints about most financial products or services, from bank accounts to loans, mortgages and debt collection. It’s a very popular service: more than one million people contact it with financial issues each year. To get in touch with the ombudsman, call 0800 023 4567 or visit financialombudsman.org.uk.  PENSIONS OMBUDSMAN Visit pensionsombudsman.org.uk for this service. It deals with pension disputes and complaints and its determinations are legally binding. ‘We are here to guide people through the complaint process and will do everything we can to resolve a dispute quickly and easily,’ says Anthony Arter, Pensions Ombudsman.
