Marco Polo V-class has a pop-up second ‘bedroom’ in the roof, a dinky kitchen with a fridge and gas hob, and all kinds of crafty storage for stashing your kit. Front seats swivel round so you can dine at the fold-up table, and the rear bench flattens into a large double bed. It’s like a studio flat on wheels, and almost the price of one. The Marco Polo Horizon and Activity models are cheaper, but you forgo the kitchen. The length (5.1m) takes a bit of getting used to, and you would be in trouble without the park-assist cameras. With its yacht wood flooring and elegant leather upholstery, you’ll want to ban muddy dogs and sticky-fingered children. It’s definitely a bucket-list ride.
