VITAMIN C SERUMS, MOISTURISERS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

-

With the ability to brighten skin and fade pigmentation as well as stimulate collagen production and deliver antioxidant protection, a vitamin C serum is a worthy addition to anyone’s skincare routine. But which to buy? Our panel put 20 to the test…

The GHI trials revealed two top performers, both scoring 84/100. Ole Henriksen Banana

Bright Vitamin C Serum, £53, was praised for its quick-absorbing, silky texture. Testers said their skin looked more radiant after use, and some found pigmentation and age spots faded too, with 93% of our panel saying they’d continue to use it. Joint winner was The Organic Pharmacy Stabilised Vitamin C Serum, £45. Another instant skin brightener, this scored highest in our tests for long-term improvements, effectively reducing wrinkles, scarring and pigmentation. The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Reviver Instant Smoother, £17, scored 78/100. Many panellists noticed a glow to their skin and a reduction of pigmentation, making it our best budget buy.

✶ HOW WE TESTED We asked 270 beauty testers to try 20 different vitamin C serums over a four-week period and give feedback. They rated the scent and texture, and reported back on differences in brightness, radiance, smoothness and hydration. For full results, visit goodhousekeeping.com/uk/product-reviews
