LOVING-KINDNESS MEDITATION FOR CONNECTION:

If you’re feeling disconnected or numb, this can help you feel kinder towards yourself and others. Repeating affirmations such as: ‘May I be safe and happy’, it became clear how much I was suppressing my feelings. There are lots of compassion meditations and you don’t need to be a Buddhist to try them. Search online for one that works for you.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION FOR SILENCE AND PEACE WITHIN:

I was sceptical about Christian meditation, as a non church-goer. Yet I found it to be deeply grounding. Repeating the mantra ‘maranatha’ over and over allowed my mind to expand. After 30 minutes of meditating daily, I felt a stillness I’d never felt before. Find out more at wccm.org.

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION FOR A MENTAL BOOST:

Using this technique twice a day improved my mood and energy levels; it boosted my creativity and I felt alert and ready to tackle whatever came my way. Find out more at uk.tm.org.
