Planting out half-hardy annuals

-

All our half-hardy annuals need planting out as soon as possible. Bar our zinnias, the sooner we can get them out, the fewer pot-bound plants we’ll have to deal with, so the pressure is on. The first plants to go out are cosmos and autumn-sown antirrhinums. If we get a cold night or two, these would both survive, whereas if we’d planted zinnias out there, they’d struggle. They’re the last thing to go in our wheelbarrow towards the end of the month.
