THE MYSTERY OF HISTORY

Historian Lucy Worsley will dig into a slew of historical mysteries for new BBC Two series Unsolved Histories With Lucy Worsley. In each episode, she’ll take a deep dive into a single event, leaving no stone unturned as she assembles both historical and contemporary evidence to help solve the mystery. Expect answers to questions such as ‘What actually caused the Black Death?’ and ‘Why did a craze for witches sweep 16th-century Britain?’. All will be revealed.

BACK TO THE BAY

Good news for fans of ITV’S The Bay: the crime series is returning for round three. Sadly, Morven Christie, aka DS Lisa Armstrong, has decided to leave the show, but there’s a new recruit in store. Marsha Thomason (Cobra) becomes Morecambe CID’S new family liaison officer, and finds herself in at the deep end when a body is discovered in the bay. More edge-of-your-seat viewing awaits!

JAMIE TAKES THE LEAD

Fifty Shades Of Grey star Jamie Dornan will lead the cast of new BBC One thriller The Tourist. From the creators of The Missing and its spin-off Baptiste, the series follows a man who is pursued by a truck trying to drive him off the road. When he later wakes in hospital, he has no idea who he is. The show is still in production, but we have a feeling it’s going to be worth the wait.
