Good times with… Angela Hartnett
Chef and restaurateur Angela lives in London with her husband and fellow chef Neil Borthwick and their dogs, Betty and Otis.
The last great film you saw…
The Banshees Of Inisherin, starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. The relationship between the two men is so beautifully acted. The film you could watch over and over… Cinema Paradiso. It goes through several decades of Italian history and the scenery is stunning. The performance that made you cry… War Horse – the film version. We went to a restaurant afterwards and when my husband came back from the loo, he said, ‘Thank God, you’ve stopped crying!’ The one you’d tell everyone to
see… I was lucky to see The History Boys when it was on Broadway.
The podcast you loved… I’m a big fan of political podcasts. The Rest Is Politics with Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell is always fascinating. I also quite like The News Agents with Emily Maitlis.
The last boxset you binged…
The Crown. I saw it while
I was filming and I found myself watching it during every break.
Top of your TV planner… The new series of Ted Lasso. Everyone keeps telling me to watch The Bear – I need to get Disney+ first! The album you want to hear…
I never thought I’d be a Beyoncé fan, but I am. I want her new album. The book that inspired you…
John Dickie’s Delizia! It’s about the history of Italians and their food. I first read it years ago and I’ve been dipping in and out of it ever since.
The ticket you’d love to get… I’d love to see Beyoncé. I saw Jay-z perform at the Isle of Wight – it was one of the best gigs I’ve been to.
