From free music streaming and paid-for TV channels to discounted days out, are you making the most of your phone contract’s perks?

It’s easy to overlook the extras – but if you do, you’re missing a trick. We’ve rounded up the best rewards.

O2

All plans include three or six months’ access to Apple Music and Disney+ – you can sometimes swap the latter for Amazon Prime membership, access to Audible or Amazon Music Unlimited (you have between 7 and 28 days after the start of your contract to activate the offers in the My O2 app, depending on your contract). The Priority app is available to O2 customers, offering discounts, three months’ access to Apple TV+ and Apple Fitness+, and a weekly hot drink and breakfast roll from Greggs.

FREEBIES WORTH: Up to £706.42 on the Unlimited plan (£31.99 a month for 2 years).

EE

Some contracts include extras such as Netflix or TNT Sports on Discovery+ subscripti­ons, access to Apple Music or Xbox Game Pass, or free roaming abroad. These rewards can all be activated through the My EE app at any time during the contract.

FREEBIES WORTH: Up to £1,103.76

on the Full Works plan (£43 a month for 2 years).

VODAFONE

Some plans come with Youtube Premium, Amazon Prime or Spotify Premium for the length of the plan, and the option of ‘Xtra benefits’ including fee-free roaming (usually only in Europe), occasional data limit increases and free picture messaging. Through the Veryme app, you can also get discounts at restaurant­s, coffee shops and a Friday treat, such as a free snack, which changes every week.

FREEBIES WORTH: At least £817.75 on the Unlimited Max + Entertainm­ent +3 Xtra Benefits plan (£50 a month for 2 years).

THREE

Some contracts come with up to 24 months Paramount+ access (activate this in the My3 app at any time) and up to 56 Daily Go Roam Passes for fee-free roaming worldwide. All Three customers also get discounts on cinema tickets, restaurant­s, flowers and hot drinks via the Three+ app.
