Leighg Lezark gives us her NEW YORK

DJ Leigh Lezark is a poster girl for downtown New York. Her slick black locks and chic ensembles have her on every street-style photographer’s radar, and when she’s not sitting front row at the shows or partying with Alexa and Harley Viera-newton, she’s behind the decks as one third of The Mishapes. Here, she talks us through her hometown, New York City.

WHERE DO WE GO TO PARTY? Flash Factory ( flashfactoryny.com) is a great new club in Chelsea. I DJ’D Jeremy Scott’s after-party there during New York Fashion Week actually. For something different, Output in Brooklyn ( outputclub.com) has a nice outdoor space, so it’s perfect for summer

WE NEED TO CHILL – WHERE TO NOW? Kiehl’s ( kiehls.com) has a great spa, which I always go to for facials. I love everything in their Dermatologist Solutions line and always swing by to pick up bits before I travel. There are a couple of places I go to around the city for oxygen facials too, when skin needs some extra help. Then I find it really relaxing to sit back and get my hair done. I get it cut and coloured at Blackstones ( blackstonesnyc.com).

YOUR FAVOURITE PLACES TO EAT? For breakfast Cafe Gitane ( cafegitanenyc.com) is a real favourite of mine. There are two locations – one on Mott Street, one on Jane Street, and both serve everything from croissants to eggs, great smoothies and salads. For dinner, the Narcissa at The Standard East Village ( narcissarestaurant.com) is a great spot, with farm-to-table New American cuisine. Otherwise, for Japanese food I love En Japanese Brasserie ( enjb.com) on Hudson Street, and Le Turtle ( leturtle.fr) in Nolita for fancy French food.

WHERE DO YOU SHOP? Trademark ( trade-mark.com) is the best place to shop in NYC – I’m calling it! It opened in Soho a couple of years ago and I’m obsessed with everything in there. It’s got great clothes and jewellery. And if I’m not there, I’m at Opening Ceremony ( openingceremony.com) – it’s got the best mix. n
