Who is your best friend?

Saree Schaefer. We met on a movie I was making in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was hired to show me around as a favour to a friend, and she made me laugh more than anyone ever. She lights up the whole room with her smile and personality. She always encourages me to try harder and tells me the truth when I am not doing my best.

What’s your biggest regret?

No regrets. Many mistakes. I feel grateful for the lessons they teach me. Life would be so boring without them.

What’s your biggest extravagance?

Baby clothes for Sailor [bottom, with older brother Milo] and Lula from Bonpoint and sheets from Frette for our new house in London. I love beautiful, soft,s cotton bed linens.

What is your type?

A thoughtful, considerate person melts my heart. Someone who pays attention and notices the little things. And I can’t be friends or love someone who has bad taste in music.

When was the last time you were embarrassed?

I am not easily embarrassed at all, but my mom and dad [ musician Steven Tyler, above] both manage it. They can say some pretty bold and outrageous things. They are never afraid to say what’s on their mind, that’s for sure.

When was the last time you lost your temper?

I was getting out of a car in NYC with all of my children and a grumpy guy was honking and yelling, being a real impatient jerk. I yelled back and told him to f**k off and wait a minute. What from your past would you delete from the internet? Probably photos of myself in Juicy Couture sweat suits with super-thin eyebrows in the early ’90s. Who owes you an apology? Are you good at forgiving? No one that I can think of. I try not to take things too personally. If someone or something really upsets me I’m pretty straightforward about it. I am not a grudge-holder.

Who or what would go in your Room 101?

People who beat around the bush. I can’t stand bulls**t.

Tell us a secret. I’m still in my pyjamas. What’s the biggest misconception about you?

Because I am softly spoken and a bit shy, people think I am not a strong or brave person, but I’m very resilient.

Who do you miss the most?

My children when they aren’t with me for more than two hours.

What’s been your biggest life lesson?

I was once asking a very good friend whether or not I should do something, and she said, ‘Oh go on, live a little.’ Now, whenever I’m on the fence about something I think of her saying that, and life has become even more exciting.
