‘Diva’ Kendall STRIKES AGAIN
KENDALL JENNER HAS long been lauded as the ‘quiet’, ‘sensible’ and ‘low-key’ Kardashian – not qualities typically associated with the globe’s most drama-prone dynasty. Now it appears she may be reverting to type.
Last week, the model hit headlines when she was accused of diva behaviour after attempting to get Scottish singer Tallia Storm, 17, thrown out of the Nextradio App Summer Pool Party in LA. Writing on Twitter, Tallia said, ‘It’s a sad day when u up stage @Kendalljenner & she try’s to get you thrown out the VIP area @Nextradioapp pool party! lol #Shetried #Andfailed. [sic].’
Speaking to Grazia, one eyewitness revealed, ‘Tallia went over to speak to her friend Hailey Baldwin, but didn’t realise that she had stood in front of Kendall. Kendall saw red and called a bouncer over to remove Tallia, but he refused because Tallia had been in the VIP area before she’d arrived. Then Kendall tried to persuade a second bouncer to throw her out, but was left red-faced when he also refused.’ According to one report, the event’s publicist called Tallia and apologised ‘for Kendall’s behaviour’, adding that she had been ‘rude to quite a few people’.
Kendall later appeared to allude to Tallia’s version of events on Instagram, when she posted a Mean Girls meme of character Karen rolling her eyes and captioned it ‘pretty much’.
It comes as the model announced her cover for US Vogue’s most prestigious issue last week, exclaiming, ‘I F*****G DID IT. SEPTEMBER VOGUE.’
But this isn’t the first time she has been accused of being difficult. In March, Grazia reported that Kendall had thrown a punch at a photographer in Paris, and last year we revealed how her appearances at New York Fashion Week drew criticism after she arrived at the Diane von Fürstenberg and Michael Kors shows up to an hour and a half later than the other models.
One source close to Kendall told Grazia that even her inner circle had fallen victim to her temper – including her sister, Kylie.
‘She and Kylie came to blows before a girls’ trip to Turks and Caicos last week,’ said the source. ‘Recently Kendall has been complaining that she attracts more press attention than any of the other Kardashians and before the holiday she was fretting that photographers would ruin it. At one point she said, “Maybe I just shouldn’t come because then there won’t be any interest”. Kylie found that a bit big-headed.’
A second source added, ‘Kendall’s heart is in the right place, but she’s been born into a world of huge privilege and is used to getting what she wants.’
