IT WAS JUST FOUR MONTHS ago that Gwen Stefani finalised her divorce from Gavin Rossdale. Speaking about the collapse of their 13-year marriage, which ended amid allegations that (cliché klaxon) Gavin had cheated with the nanny, Gwen said: ‘Nobody would believe it if I could really say what happened. I went through months and months of torture.’
Now, insiders say that the singer is ready to move on in dramatic style – by marrying again. She’s been dating her Thevoice co-star Blake Shelton for less than a year, but according to a source, ‘They’re openly discussing getting married. He hasn’t made a big proposal yet, but it’s less a case of if than when. Gwen has made no secret of the fact that Blake is her “future husband”, leading some to speculate that a wedding could come sooner than anyone expects.’
The pair have apparently met with Jerri Woolworth – known for organising events for America’s National Football League – as a potential wedding planner. ‘It may seem sudden, but everyone can see how happy they are. Gwen has told friends she doesn’t suit being single, and is ready to start the next chapter. She’s a romantic at heart.’
Despite the relationship moving at warp speed, the source said Gwen is keeping a level head when it comes to finances. ‘She’s already floated the idea of a pre-nup,’ added the source. ‘Gwen’s worth almost twice as much as Blake, and from her experience with Gavin she knows she has to prepare for the worst. She’s told friends she feels sad that what happened before has hardened her in some ways, but she’s keen not to make the same mistakes.’
