INSIDE JOHNNY AND VANESSA’S SECRET DATE

BACK IN AUGUST, FOLLOWING his split from Amber Heard, Grazia revealed that Johnny Depp’s family were hoping he might rekindle his relationship with Vanessa Paradis. In an exclusive interview, Heather Rassel – who was previously married to Johnny’s nephew Billy and has stayed close to the family – said, ‘Vanessa has been there for him through this entire thing. I’m rooting for them to get back together. We all are.’

Now, it seems their wish could be coming true. Johnny and Vanessa have sparked rumours of a reunion after being spotted on an intimate date at California’s newest hot spot, Catch LA.

One eyewitness who was there on 22 October told Grazia, ‘Johnny arrived separately but made an instant beeline for Vanessa. They were flirting with each other in a quiet corner at the end of the bar and didn’t seem to care who was looking. He’d pre-ordered a glass of her favourite Malbec before she even arrived and was being extremely protective of her. He even accompanied her to the bathroom and waited outside for her. He didn’t seem to want to leave her side.’

The couple, who were together for 14 years, originally split in 2012 amid rumours that Johnny had grown close to Amber on the set of The Rum Diary in 2011. Following Amber’s accusations that Johnny had been ‘physically and emotionally abusive’ during their short marriage, Vanessa published an open letter claiming, ‘I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations are outrageous.’

A source close to the pair said, ‘People in Hollywood are understandably very wary of Johnny right now, but Vanessa won’t hear a word of it. If Amber hadn’t entered the picture they’d never have split up, so a reunion could definitely happen.’
