‘I’ D LIKE GINGER BABIES, SO WANT TO MEET SOMEONE WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THAT CAUSE’

Who is your best friend? I have five, including [bandmates][b Cheryl, who I’ve been through so much with, and Kimberley, who gives me matter-of-fact advice. What’s your biggest regret? Not telling someone the way I felt about them before it was too late. I’ll leave it there. What’s your biggest extravagance? My house. Also this year I had a look at my diet and started eating organic produce. It’s so much more expensive than bad food, but it shouldn’t be. What is your type? Somebody kind, thoughtful and who thinks about other people’s feelings. One day I’d like ginger babies, so want to meet someone who can contribute to that cause. When was the last time you were embarrassed? When Girls Aloud shot the Something New video a few years ago, and I was wearing a dressing gown for hair and make-up. I was speaking to the video director and it was only after we stopped chatting that someone told me my boob was out. He didn’t say anything! When was the last time you lost your temper? I really struggle when someone close to me is mistreated. I’m not afraid to say that people are wrong. What from the past would you delete from the internet? Everything I’ve done since I was 16 is on the internet, including partying and experimenting with alcohol, clothes, hair, make-up. It’s not ideal. Who owes you an apology? I can think of some men who owe me an apology. I’ve been mistreated in the past, but some people would rather run than face apologising to someone. You have to move on. Who or what would go into your Room 101? Stupid questions. If someone asks a question they already know the answer to, I answer through gritted teeth. Laziness is always behind it. Tell us a secret. I can’t stand having anything out of place at home, it sends me way off. Everything has to be spick and span. What’s the biggest misconception about you? That I’m miserable. Actually, I can be quite an introvert in situations I don’t feel comfortable in. I’m more of a watcher. Who do you miss the most? My little brother Harrison. He’s 19 and is at university in Alabama. He has this whole new life we don’t know about. What is your biggest life lesson? You never know what’s around the corner. My whole life so far has just happened, and you have to go with the flow, love life and be grateful.
