‘I wish I was a misogynist, I’d put her in her place, I wish I was a misogynist, I’d smash her in the face.’ And so go the delightful lyrics to a song sung by Labour MP Jared O’mara (above) when he was in a band. Lucky for us, he’s now going to sit on the House of Commons Women and Equalities Select Committee. But it’s OK because he’ll appear alongside Tory MP Philip Davies who once denounced ‘feminist zealots’. What a time to be alive.
