Backstage at Valentino, face painter Pat Mcgrath masterminded a modern take on the statement ‘draped’ blush that was so famous in the ’80s. Bright fuchsia was swirled along the tops of cheekbones, then up on to browbones and temples for a chic, almost ombré effect that looked very modern on pared-back skin.
