From the mirror challenge to positive reminders, Leomie Anderson and Iskra Lawrence share how they use beauty to feel empowered British model 25-year-old Leomie is the face of Fenty Beauty and campaigns for diversity and honesty in the fashion industry

‘In a society that tries to police who gets to feel confident, accepting yourself as you are is such an important part of being happy,’ says Leomie, who has the acronym LIFL – which stands for Life Is For Living – tattooed on her. ‘Every day should be a day of progress, positivity and generally not wasting time because I am lucky to be in my position, so it’s a reminder of that.’

good hair day When her hair isn’t playing ball, Leomie doesn’t fret. ‘I just use L’oréal Elvive Extraordinary Hair Oil [3], £9.99, because it’s super-hydrating and smooths my hair’s edges.’ You can use it pre-shampoo, on damp hair before styling or as a finishing touch every day.

spritz away There’s nothing like a good scent to uplift the senses, and Leomie’s favourite is Miss Dior EDP [6], £75 for 50ml. ‘It’s fresh yet punchy and people always compliment me when I wear it!’
