SELF PRESERVATION

Thanks for ‘ Why we shouldn’t always put our kids first’ (3 Sept). I’m a single mum of three and it’s often exhausting. I’ve never regretted my choices but, to be the best mum I can be, I’ve needed time out. Space for me to collect my head and return refreshed. My children were sometimes handed over to my (very capable) parents and this is a far better solution than to keep going and end up completely frazzled. Lorna
