WE ARE FAMILY

Reading George Stark’s article Now Katie and Jamie are

talking marriage… (22 Oct) this week, I was frustrated to read: ‘This is in contrast to his two adopted children, Isabella and Connor Cruise.’ Adopted is a verb according to the dictionary. It is a one-time event, an often-difficult journey to create a family. It is not an adjective to describe someone. Isabella and Connor were adopted as babies, they are Tom’s children, no caveats needed. How does stating they came into a family differently improve the article? Children who were adopted may not want that fact repeatedly highlighted – any more than other kids want to be reminded that their parents had sex to conceive them! Angela The Kèrluxe Caviar4 range, worth £188, comprises a shampoo, conditioner, mask and leave-in treatment containing black, gold, green and crystal caviar to nourish hair for optimal health, strength and vitality and to minimise styling time.
