Adwoa Aboah

-

Known for her trademark short hair and freckles, Adwoa, 26, is a supermodel of the new age.

STICK TO A REGIME It might be one of the oldest pieces of advice in the beauty rule book, but Adwoa takes no prisoners when it comes to her routine. ‘I always make sure I take off my make-up,’ she says. ‘I’m really strict because my skin is up and down all the time.’ She swears by a brilliant cleanser (one of her favourites is Dr Barbara Sturm Cleanser [ 4], £40), a hydrating serum and a moisturiser ‘that isn’t too heavy’. ‘Dr Sturm also does this amazing moisturiser that contains your own blood. It’s really good,’ she says. GLOSS OVER The triumphant comeback of gloss continues, and doesn’t Adwoa know it. ‘If I was to wear one make-up product for the next year, it would be any sort of lip gloss – there are so many that I love,’ she says. ‘And I wear it with Revlon Volumazing Mascara [ 1, £6.99], which builds 100% more volume in two coats.’ MIX IT UP Just as much a fragrance chameleon as a fashion one, Adwoa chooses her fragrance based on her mood. ‘I change it up all the time, but my favourite is probably Armani Si [ EDP, £73],’ she says. ‘I like wearing oils, too, such as lavender or eucalyptus, and always smell like cocoa butter body moisturiser.’ GO BOLD OR GO HOME Her trademark grade 1 or 2 ’do has inspired a thousand chops the world over, but it wasn’t a difficult decision for her to make. ‘I had no sentimental attachment to my hair. It was an obvious choice to cut it all off,’ she says. ‘Afterwards, I felt empowered because I didn’t have anything to hide behind. It was just like, “This is me’”. PIERCING POWER ‘I’ve accumulated so many piercings over the years – I don’t think about them, I just do it,’ she says. ‘Maria Tash is my go-to.’ Find Maria Tash in Liberty and Harrods. MY LOOK IN FIVE PRODUCTS Forget foundation, Adwoa isn’t a fan. ‘All I need is a Revlon red lip [try Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire & Ice ( 3), ), £7.99], an eyebrow brush, pink blush, glitter highlighter and a volumising mascara.’
