Who knew a massage might be the secret to fresh, rosy cheeks? a flushed cheek has long been an indicator of a healthy, youthful glow – and while we could take to the great outdoors or our local gym to achieve it, we’re more inclined to head down the horizontal route for a speedy facial. Decléor’s new Smooth & Glow facial involves five different massaging techniques to stimulate facial circulation, drain toxins from the lymphatic system and sculpt muscles for a face that feels as healthy as it looks. ‘As a facial it’s pretty unique,’ says skin expert Nicola Joss. ‘It uses a bamboo massage tool alongside Decléor’s Green Mandarin oil to help stimulate blood circulation. You’re left with a rosy glow and re-energised skin that lasts for days.’ Right, where do we sign? Decléor’s new Smooth & Glow Facial, from £60 for 60 minutes

It’s blusher, but not as we know it… ‘for a natural-looking flush, you want your blusher to look like it has come from within, rather than sitting on top of the skin, which can look fake,’ says Pablo Rodriguez, director of artistry at Illamasqua. The secret? Apply a cream blush to bare cheeks before you apply your base.

Use fingertips to press a liberal amount of colour on to the apples of cheeks, and then use the most cushioned part of your palms to blend it up and out. Finish by applying your base over the top – notice how it blurs out the intense blush, leaving you with a sheer flush that shines through, offering a healthy look. ‘It’s a quick trick for anyone in a rush as you don’t have to be so careful with how you apply it.’
