Super-charged soaps

-

Joely Walker, beauty & health director The most surprising glow-up of last year: soaps. But not just any old soaps – supercharged ones for face, body and hair, featuring hi-tech formulas and pleasingly eco-friendly packaging. From Chanel’s latest launch to the bubble bar for curls, this bunch are at the top of their game. Time to raise the bar.

With cold-pressed micro-algae (known for its high nutrient content) Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-algae Cleansing Bar, £20, leaves skin feeling soft and supple from day dot. A future cult classic.

Haven’t tried a solid shampoo yet? Make Christophe Robin Hydrating Shampoo Bar with Aloe Vera, £16, your first. A great all-rounder, aloe vera is complemented by softening castor oil.

Shelfie, meet Herbivore Pink Clay Soap Bar, £10 – kind to sensitive skins, it uses pink clay to gently purge skin of daily dirt and grime.

When Chanel launches a cleansing soap, you know the suds movement is here to stay. Sublimage Le Savon De Soin Radiance, £80, is as luxe as they come, with a dreamy, creamy texture that cleanses without stripping natural oils. Heavenly from start to glowy finish.

Created for dry and curly hair types, Ethique Too Delicious Super Hydrating Solid Conditioner, £12.99, combines shea butter and coconut oil for a hefty hydration hit.

With a collagenboosting combo of prebiotics and exfoliating lactic acid (a milder AHA than glycolic acid), Gallinée Prebiotic Cleansing Bar, £10, can be used on face and body.
