Those working from home while caring for children will be the first to tell Dolly Parton that working 9-5 is no longer a way to make a living. This weird period has shown us that working remotely – at a time that suits us – is possible and gives us more control over our lives. Which is why we’re relieved that the right to work from home could become law after lockdown. This comes after years of campaignin­g by Grazia columnist Anna Whitehouse (aka @mother_pukka). Meanwhile, Twitter’s announceme­nt last week that its employees will be allowed to work from home ‘forever’ feels like a promising sign that we’re finally heading towards a flexible revolution.
