Grazia (UK)

WELCOME TO THE ISSUE

- Feedback@graziamagazine.co.uk

For months we’d planned this first post-lockdown issue of Grazia to be themed around the future (see page 34) – examining how Covid-19 will impact all aspects of our lives going forward. But we never could have predicted that its publication would coincide with a seismic moment in the Black Lives Matter movement. George Floyd’s brutal death has triggered a revolution of kinds, with the world – or at least, huge numbers of its non-black residents – realising that we must all stand actively against racism and fight together for a more equal society. This isn’t a commitment that ends when the news cycle moves on, so Grazia will continue to listen, learn and campaign for racial equality, as well as use our platforms to amplify a diverse mix of voices and work to ensure our content and team is as diverse and representative of our audience as possible. I hope, as Misan Harriman, the photographer who covered the protests for us, says on page 12, we will look back on these images in years to come and be able to say that 2020 marked the moment that things really did change.
