this year has taught us a lot of lessons, but one of the cheerier ones has been the power of a great TV show. Think Tiger King, which proved a welcome distraction during those early, surreal nights of lockdown; or Normal People, which instantly made global stars of Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-jones. The good news is that this month a whole glut of new shows that were filmed before social distancing lands on our screens to see us through autumn. This issue we’ll introduce you to some of the unmissable shows, via the woman fronting them – including Cynthia Nixon, Katherine Ryan and the inimitable Sian Clifford.
